As much as we hate to admit it the days of stepping out the
house in some lace up sandals are well and truly over. Long gone of the days
where floaty dresses and bardot tops were acceptable. All of the above have fast become
memories of the ‘good old’ summer days but hey! there must be some benefits to
crisp mornings and snow storms right? Other than the possibility of festive
snowy days I am excited to be opening the knitwear draw and bringing out the
warm coats and boots.
When it comes to fashion I prefer dressing in the winter
layering up pieces and paring everything with a bobble hat and your pretty much
good to go! I am defiantly not shy of a cosy chunky knit –or two- or ten- like
this one I grabbed on black Friday with 20% off from H&M. After hunting
down this must have Topshop aviator last year I was happy to see them make a re
appearance, because I get to leave the house in what feels
like a cosy dressing gown for another year. I
picked up these ‘Million Sock Boots’ from Topshop recently and haven’t stopped
wearing them since, they are quickly becoming this seasons go to footwear. The sock boot style has been a real hit this season, it has
finally nailed the pet hate of not knowing whether to roll your jeans up or
tuck them into your boots as the tight ankle frames the bottom of your jeans
perfectly.
