A few weeks ago from now I was over the moon to be greeted with a repost from River Island when I refreshed my feed. This boosted my confidence immensley as my pictures must have improved enough to now be featured on a huge retailers site! This gave me a great happiness to show that hard wok does actually pay off and for a smaller blogger like myself to get noticed is everything. Not only did this excite me alone, but I had actually won the #ImWearingRI competition and that means I had a £100 gift card on the way! like any other blogger gal I hopped straight onto the River Island website to start proozing various outfit ideas.
The one thing that stood out to me the most was this beautiful blush pink suede jacket, I would be the first to put my hand up and say I'm not normally someone who would reach for pink clothing but this jacket just seemed to work. And the muted colour is a perfect transition from summer pastels to winter mauves.
Seems as the whole mesh trend is huge right now I chose this black layered top to go along side it. The 'daintiness' of the top was a perfect contrast to a more statement jacket and added a great amount of texture to the outfit.
Speaking of texture, to bring the outfit together I included this frayed hem denim skirt which is a great piece when styled more formally. And to break up the black I featured this western style belt which has been a style must has for the latter half of this year.
I am loving this outfit right now as it just oozes a feminine biker chic style.
I also treated myself to a very luxurious lingerie set because if you can't treat yourself at christmas then when can you!
