Finding a balance of comfort and style

What's summer without sandals? Pretty darn hot right! I have always been a heeled sandal kind of girl as I love the elegance and lift having a small block heel gives, However after stepping out in the heat over past few days in some slightly precarious heeled sandals I was over the moon to receive my flat sliders from Ravel. When I opt for a flat shoe it is normally because I want a day off from heels or I fancy something that’s a bit more comforting on the foot, especially when I'm out and about shopping because trust me I’ve put myself through enough days of shopping in high heels to finally realise I would probably be ok wearing flats.

However, I’ve always found comfort and style something very hard to get 50 50 on. I have no end of pretty shoes in my wardrobe that I swear by despite the fact they rip my feet to shreds! So when trying on my Ravel sliders it was a pleasant surprise to feel something so comfy underfoot that still meets the cutesess levels of a blatant fashion shoe.

Summer is a time of being out and about strolling around on a lovely summers evening and the last thing you want to be thinking about is where you can next purchase blister platers from or when you can have a sit down because your feet hurt!

Flat sandals are such a great staple to have in your wardrobe as they just go with anything, these white floral ones stood out to me the most as I instantly pictured them with this Zara embroidered playsuit with a pop of colour from my Roxanne Campbell nail varnish and a touch of colour blocking with my pink bag.

This post was in collaboration with Ravel footwear but all opinions are my own

  1. I'm obsessed with this outfit! I love it!! That Zara playsuit is gorgeous and had me fooled, as I thought it was a smock dress! Those sandals are also super pretty xo

    1. Hey Bex!

I agree! I originally thought it was dress before I tried it on! There sure isn't anything worse than your dress blowing up in the wind!
